The monument to Pyotr Stolypin in Moscow was opened in December 2012 to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding reformer of the Russian Empire. Andrei Korobtsov worked on the project as part of a creative team of teachers and graduates of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, named after Ilya Glazunov. The portrait accurately presents the reformer's appearance: the hand, wounded in a duel, is tightly pressed to the body, the uniform includes the award sword with which Stolypin always appeared in public.
At the foot of the pedestal, a bronze plaque has written on it a well-known expression of the reformer: "We must all unite in defense of Russia, coordinate our efforts, our duties and our rights in order to maintain one of Russia's historic supreme rights - to be strong."
